2 Days and 9 Miles Lead us to Nadine's!
The deep snow is challenging but we continue to make progress along the Empire State Trail. Four and a half miles yesterday and today took us over the Croton Reservoir - water supply to much of NYC and we are closing in on the Putnam County line. We met some very nice folks along the way. Rob and Stacy were walking their dog, Tiara and the Bong Boys, Jordan and Ezra were filming something about the bongs they sell! Along the way we passed Domenick's Limo Shop and Olive wanted to stop in Ana's Nails for a mani-pedi! The highlight of our walk was crossing the bridge over the Reservoir - No Jumping Off Bridge allowed!?! Our long trek was rewarded at a wonderful restaurant named Nadine's on Route 118 in Yorktown Heights right by the trail. We highly recommend it. The mussels were terrific, Ronan had the Weinerschnitzel and it was superb and Olive loved the pear martini! Tony was our wonderful waiter and Nadine a most charming hostess. If you are in the area stop by for a wonderful meal. Next stop Mahopac!
